Privacy Policy

The most honest privacy policy on the internet

You are on the internet.  Nothing you say or do on the internet is private; particularly things you do while logged on to the software or computer system of another as you are right now.

The act of selecting a username and password to use does not guaranty privacy NO MATTER WHAT THAT COMPANY TELLS YOU.  The legal construct of the society you live in dictates a ruling class have arbitrary control to violate your privacy in the name of 'safetyness'.

The act of encrypting your data provides some privacy, but the words you type are at rest on a disk when you finish.  A disk, mind you, which any megalomaniacal high public office holder or brain-dead order follower can and will access without your or my knowledge.

We will not comply with a request for information about you. You need to understand that we would never be asked in any scenario.  Those that wanted the info you post here or on any published media of thelocalpond can simply read it.  If you post to an area accessible by password, those that hold the requisite power would simply go to Squarespace, where this is hosted, and bypass us completely with a signed warrant.

I say all of this simply to convey that all should be careful what they say. All should realize what entities can be, at any unknown time, monitoring every word you type.  Realize that once something is on the internet (including in your encrypted backups at cloud providers) you really cannot be assured the data cannot be removed.  Once you publish data, it is not private no matter what assurance anyone gives you.

Be careful online.  You are completely responsible for your own privacy.
